On November 20, 2025, Ranking Member of the House Natural Resources Committee, and U.S. Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, held a virtual press call with other Congressional Democrats to respond to the Trump administration’s newly released five-year offshore leasing plan, denounce the sweeping giveaway to Big Oil, and outline the fight ahead.
