House Republicans’ extreme Interior funding bill is a far-right wish list, slashing EPA funds by nearly 40% and gutting the National Park Service by almost half a billion… Their demands will set our country on a dangerous path. This bill will: • Gut the National Park Service by almost half a billion, reducing our rangers’ ability to protect our special places. • ZERO OUT ALL funding for environmental justice, denying communities the opportunity to protect themselves from environmental & health hazards. • Slash the @EPA’s budget by nearly 40%, jeopardizing communities’ clean air + water to gain favor with industry • Remove Endangered Species Act protections from cherished, vulnerable species across the country, from the gray wolf to the Northern long-eared bat. • Slow down environmental reviews (aren’t they always complaining how slow they are?) • Sell out our public lands and waters to toxic mining operations and fossil fuel projects. From top to bottom, this bill will endanger all the American values and symbols we hold dear, from our national parks to vulnerable wildlife to our clean air and water.
