Rep. Paul Gosar Attacking Cathleen Kelly, Only Female Hearing Witness, Over Mining Standards

On March 21, 2017, Rep. Paul Gosar repeatedly attacked and interrupted Cathleen Kelly of the Center for American Progress at a hearing on mining and infrastructure. As chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, he gave himself time to speak -- even though he had none -- specifically to ask her a question about permitting, interrupt her answer and tell her to say "Yes." Later he spent several minutes yelling at her to name a mine she personally "endorsed" and said she was "one of those people" at an environmental group that does not employ her and whose name he got wrong.
