Water, Oceans and Wildlife Subcommittee Hearing EventID=109713
Many Native communities across the country lack access to reliable water sources. The federal government has a trust responsibility to ensure access to water for federally recognized tribes, and we’re working to pass legislation to address this injustice. Tribal communities should have clean drinking water. On Wednesday, June 26, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, our Water, Oceans and Wildlife Subcommittee meets to discuss H.R. 644, H.R. 2459, and H.R. 3292 to develop water infrastructure that protects vital water rights for tribes.
