Grijalva Letter to Zinke Requesting Explanation of Energy Dominance and FLPMA July 6 2017

Ranking Member Grijalva writes to Secretary Zinke to ask him to explain how "energy dominance" will be implemented given the mandate in the Federal Land Policy and Management Act to manage public lands "on the basis of multiple use and sustained yield." Zinke and his staff have emphasized in recent weeks their intention to let "the market" rather than environmental laws dictate oil and gas drilling on public lands.
