Subcommittee Hearing: Energy and Mineral Resources Legislative Hearing
On Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., in Room 1334 Longworth House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
- H.R. 496 (Rep. Soto), To direct the Director of the United States Geological Survey to establish a program to map zones that are at greater risk of sinkhole formation, and for other purposes. “Sinkhole Mapping Act of 2019”
- H.R. 2485 (Rep. Kind), To require the Secretary of the Interior to develop and maintain a cadastre of Federal real property. “Federal Land Asset Inventory Reform Act of 2019”
- H.R. 2640 (Rep. Haaland), To withdraw certain Bureau of Land Management land from mineral development.“Buffalo Tract Protection Act”
- H.R. 4026 (Rep. Fulcher), To amend the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to promote timely exploration for geothermal resources under geothermal leases, and for other purposes. “Enhancing Geothermal Production on Federal Lands Act.”
- H.R. 4299 (Rep. Velázquez), To reauthorize the National Geological and Geophysical Data Preservation Program Act of 2005 through 2024. “Data Preservation Act of 2019”
