Legislative Hearing: Hearing on H.R. 1869, H.R. 2993, and H.R. 4582
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in room 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Water, Power and Oceans held a legislative hearing over the following bills:
- H.R. 1869 (Rep. Paul Gosar), To provide for transparency and reporting related to direct and indirect costs incurred by the Bonneville Power Administration, the Western Area Power Administration, the Southwestern Power Administration, and the Southeastern Power Administration related to compliance with any Federal environmental laws impacting the conservation of fish and wildlife, and for other purposes. “Environmental Compliance Cost Transparency Act of 2015”
- H.R. 2993 (Rep. Doris O. Matsui), To amend the Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and Facilities Act to authorize funding for water recycling projects in areas experiencing severe, extreme, or exceptional drought, and for other purposes. “Water Recycling Acceleration Act of 2015”
- H.R. 4582 (Rep. Jeff Denham), To exclude striped bass from the anadromous fish doubling requirement in section 3406(b)(1) of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act, and for other purposes. “Save Our Salmon (SOS) Act ”
