Legislative Hearing: Hearing on H.R. 3477 and H.R. 3599
On Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 2:30 p.m., in room 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Indian, Insular and Alaska Native Affairs held a legislative hearing on the following bills:
- H.R. 3477 (Rep. Markwayne Mullin), To enhance and integrate Native American tourism, empower Native American communities, increase coordination and collaboration between Federal tourism assets, and expand heritage and cultural tourism opportunities in the United States. “The Native American Tourism and Improving Visitor Experience Act”; and
- H.R. 3599 (Rep. Chuck Fleischmann), To take certain Federal lands in Tennessee into trust for the benefit of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and for other purposes. “Eastern Band Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act.”
