Subcommittee Hearing: NPFPL Legislative Hearing – October 29, 2019
On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
- H.R. 139 (Rep. Rodney Davis), To establish the Springfield Race Riot National Historic Monument in the State of Illinois, and for other purposes. “Springfield Race Riot National Historic Monument Act.”
- H.R. 486 (Rep. Juan Vargas), To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of Chicano Park, located in San Diego, California, and for other purposes. “Chicano Park Preservation Act.”
- H.R. 3250 (Rep. Danny Davis), To require the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of the sites associated with the life and legacy of the noted American philanthropist and business executive Julius Rosenwald, with a special focus on the Rosenwald Schools, and for other purposes. “Julius Rosenwald and the Rosenwald Schools Act of 2019.”
- H.R. 3824 (Rep. Mike Bost), To establish the Cahokia Mounds Mississippian Culture National Historical Park in Collinsville, Illinois, Monroe, Madison, and St. Clair Counties, Illinois, and St. Louis City County, Missouri, and for other purposes. “Cahokia Mounds Mississippian Culture National Historical Park Act.”
- H.R. 4139 (Rep. Filemon Vela), To provide for the boundary of the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historic Park to be adjusted, to authorize the donation of land to the United States for addition to that historic park, and for other purposes.
