Legislative Hearing: Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States Legislative Hearing
On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in room 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States will hold a legislative hearing on the following bills:
- H.R. 733 (Rep. Betty McCollum), To provide for the transfer of certain Federal land in the State of Minnesota for the benefit of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. “Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Reservation Restoration Act”
- H.R. 1031 (Rep. Juan Vargas), To take certain land located in San Diego County, California, into trust for the benefit of the Pala Band of Mission Indians, and for other purposes. “Pala Band of Mission Indians Land Transfer Act of 2019”
- H.R. 1803 (Rep. Greg Walden), To nullify the Supplemental Treaty Between the United States of America and the Confederated Tribes and Bands of Indians of Middle Oregon.
- H.R. 2961 (Rep. Rick Larsen), To reaffirm that certain land has been taken into trust for the benefit of the Samish Indian Nation, and for other purposes. “Samish Indian Land Reaffirmation Act”
