NRDems Forum: Virtual Roundtable: Under the Cover of Coronavirus: The Trump Administration's Fossil Fuel Agenda During the Pandemic
On Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 at 1:00 pm EST the House Committee on Natural Resources will host a digital forum to discuss the specific actions and decisions that the Trump Administration is making behind the scenes while the American public is focused on addressing the current pandemic. This digital forum will be streamed on Facebook live and YouTube.
The nation and the rest of the world are facing an unprecedented crisis in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Trump administration should prioritize protecting our health; however, federal agencies continue to focus their limited resources on boosting fossil fuel development and rolling back environmental safeguards. Rather than protecting public health and safety right now, this administration is using its resources to give big wins to polluting industries that actively threaten public health, particularly those in already underserved communities.
