NEXT WEEK: Committee Hearings on PROMESA and Protecting Federal Employees From Extremists, Markup on Mining Law Reform

Washington, D.C. – The Committee on Natural Resources will hold hearings next week on a discussion draft of Chair Raúl M. Grijalva’s (D-Ariz.) changes to the PROMESA law and, separately, on combating anti-government extremism directed at public land management employees. The Committee will also hold a markup on Grijalva’s Hardrock Leasing and Reclamation Act – an overdue update to the Mining Law of 1872 – and two other bills protecting miner pensions and health benefits.
