Next Week’s Schedule: Sustainable Economic Recovery on Tuesday, Pandemic Wildfire Risks on Wednesday, Coronavirus in Puerto Rico on Thursday

Washington, D.C. – The House Natural Resources Committee is hosting two livestreamed forums and a livestreamed hearing next week. The Thursday event will be the first fully remote virtual hearing in the Committee’s 215-year history.

Tuesday, June 9

On Tuesday, June 9, Chair Raúl M. Grijalva (D-Ariz.) will lead a forum on how best to build a pro-jobs, pro-environment economy after the coronavirus pandemic has subsided.

The need for sustainable economic reconstruction is starting to unite labor, environmental advocates and elected officials around the country, and public support for more clean energy investments and other pro-environment measures has remained high through the pandemic.

The forum will examine the importance of a comprehensive national strategy to create jobs and generate long-term environmental benefits.
